Help for the input fields

The username must have at least 8 characters. The entry is not case-sensitive. It is not allowed to use spaces.
The e-mail-address will be used when you wish to reset a forgotten password.
The password must have between 12 and 20 characters. It must contain at least one character from each of the groups: Capital letter A to Z, lower case letter a to z, number 0 to 9 and one of the characters at, hash, dollar, percent, plus, minus, or dot.

Frequently asked questions

By registering, you will open a user account in Arcinsys. You can then save your search queries, save archival items to your memo list and submit requests for access to the participating archives.
No, for ordering the archival items, an approved request for access at the respective archives is required in addition to the registration. The form is in the menu "Request" > "Submit a new request".
Only you have access to the complete data stored in your user account. This data will only be made available to an archives when you submit a request for access there. Neither your username nor your password will be disclosed to the archives. Only system administrators can access your name and your username in order to grant approvals to you, if required.
Yes; you can view and change the data that you submit with your registration at any time. Log in first and then click on your username. Your details are stored in "My data".
No. Your registration (with username and password) is valid for all of Germany, in all German Federal States. If you have a user account, you can submit requests for access and order archival items at several archives.
